Here is the pattern::
I | was |
You | were |
They | |
We | |
He | was |
She | |
Syam |
e.g:
Ten years ago, they were a very good team in the football
When he was 5 years old,he was very cute.
To make negative, we just add "not" after was or were.
Ten years ago, they were not (weren't) a very good team in the football
When he was 5 years old,he was not (wasn't) very cute.
To make interrogative, we place "was or were" in the beginning of sentence.
Ten years ago, were they a very good team in the football ? No, they were not.
When he was 5 years old,was he very cute ? Yes, he was.
Notes:
To make question using "WHO", that's so easy. In positive sentence, we just replace "the subject" with "who".
e.g. She watched the movie "2012" in Grand Mall 21 two weeks ago. Who watched the movie "2012" in Grand Mall 21 two weeks ago ?
