Present Perfect Tense

PRESENT PERFECT TENSE

 

It's used to state the activities which have happened in the past (indefinite time).

 

Let's see the samples in the POSITIVE SENTENCES.

Notes:

  • Adverbs of time used in present perfect tense are recently, lately, just, since.

            e.g:

                - SLANK has released its new album recently.

                - I have just closed the door.

                - Lately, he has spent much money for useless things.

                - She has lived in this city since she was ten years old.

  • Present perfect tense = indefinite time, but simple past tense = definite time

                Let's see the difference,

                - I closed the door twenty minutes ago (simple past tense)

                - I have closed the door.
